The giveaway is limited to my past birth photography clients. Your spouse/partner can also enter for an extra chance to win. Photo Session must be completed within 12 months of October 24, 2024. Photo Session cannot be an event such as a birthday party, wedding, engagement party, bar mitzvah, etc, since I work on-call my birth clients come first and if I am called to a birth on the day of your event I will not be able to fulfill the giveaway. Giveaway is not redeemable for cash nor applicable as a credit towards other photo sessions. Giveaway is nontransferable to another person. Session must be completed at one of Paulina Splechta Photography’s locations or if client chooses in-home session, must be done in their home only.
Wow, ten years. It feels like just yesterday I was photographing my first birth on August 31st 2014 in Memorial Regional Hospital, heart pounding and camera shaking (just a little!). But in those ten years, I've witnessed over 200 babies enter the world, each birth a unique and awe-inspiring story of strength, love, and resilience.
From hushed hospital rooms to sun-drenched home births, I've been honored to capture the raw beauty of this transformative experience. I've seen tears of joy, heard triumphant cries, and felt the palpable energy of new life entering the world.
One moment that will forever stay with me was when a mother, after a long and challenging birth, finally held her baby skin-to-skin. The look of peace and serenity on her face, as well as sheer relief, the way she transformed into a mother in that instant, it was breathtaking. It reminded me of the unwavering strength and resilience of women. How they can endure so much and emerge even stronger, with a love that knows no bounds and the profound privilege I have to document these sacred moments.
To all the families who have invited me into their birthing spaces, thank you. Thank you for your trust, your vulnerability, and for sharing your most precious moments with me. You've shaped me as a photographer and inspired me as a woman. This giveaway is a small way to express my gratitude for being a part of your journeys.
